Project Overview:
Our primary objective was to completely redesign the existing user experience, enhancing functionality while streamlining the user journey. As the lead of a talented team of six designers, I collaborated extensively with product and business owners, copywriters, the legal team, and the development team to create an innovative and intuitive interface for our users.
Project Scope:
A significant aspect of this project was transforming over fifteen individual pages into a cohesive, single-page format. Recent studies have shown that single-page layouts significantly improve user experience by reducing cognitive load and simplifying navigation. According to a 2023 Nielsen Norman Group study, single-page designs can increase user engagement by up to 50% and improve information retention.
Project Execution:
The project was executed over a period of just over six months, meticulously adhering to each phase: Discovery, Definition, Design, and Delivery. Managing a large team in a corporate environment requires exceptional coordination and communication. Regular cross-functional meetings and agile methodologies were employed to ensure alignment and swift decision-making. Each stage underwent multiple rounds of testing, as well as legal and stakeholder reviews, ensuring a polished and compliant final product.
Impact and Results:
The outcomes were impressive. Within the first few days post-launch, we observed a significant uptick in conversion rates, ultimately necessitating a throttle at 100% due to the overwhelming success. Furthermore, we achieved a one-third reduction in user task completion time and doubled the conversion rate, showcasing the project's profound impact on user experience and business metrics.
